Alto Pit OHV Recreation Area Closed September 25 and 26

The Prescott National Forest will be closing the Alto Pit OHV area to the public on Sunday, September 26 for safety reasons and the Alto Pit OHV campground will be closed from Saturday, September 25 through Monday, September 27.

Central Arizona Trials contacted the Forest Service for a special use permit to hold a motorcycle trials event at Alto Pit. For more information on trials in Central Arizona, visit www.centralarizonatrials.org.

Visitors looking for a developed OHV area for this weekend can use the Hayfield Draw OHV area in Camp Verde. Hayfield Draw is located approximately 8 miles from Camp Verde on State Highway 260 towards Cottonwood.

Alto Pit will be open to the public on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
