Lacombe City Council has approved a proposal from Vesta Energy Ltd. to purchase the exclusive naming rights to the community’s Eastside Recreation Area, creating the new Vesta Energy Fish & Fetch Park.
City officials say Vesta’s approved proposal is for $17,500 per year over seven years, with an option to renew before the deal closes.
“Lacombe City Council is delighted to have a proven local company like Vesta Energy assume the naming rights for the Eastside Recreation Area,” said Mayor Grant Creasey. “Vesta’s commitment to its local community is to be commended, and I know that Lacombe dog owners, game and fish enthusiasts, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds will enjoy Vesta Energy Fish & Fetch Park for years to come.”
“Vesta Energy is delighted to be part of the Eastside Recreation Area development project. Supporting the development of community outdoor activity spaces fits perfectly into our sponsorship platform which aims to support and enrich the local communities in which we operate. We look forward to the opening and use of Lacombe’s newest recreational area, the Vesta Energy Fish & Fetch Park,” said Mark Lansing, Vesta Vice President HSE and Sustainability.
