We caught up with Hyperice business developer, Deon van Wyk, who told us more about this exciting brand and its growth into a global market.

You have so cleverly created a brand that is unique in its offerings – where did the brand concept come from and how was it developed?

Hyperice is designed to help relieve tension, unlock sore muscles, and prepare your body and mind to perform at their best, so you can always find the simple pleasure of doing what you love to do, and more. Our mission is simple: to help everyone on earth move better, live better, and be better. Whether you’re an elite athlete, or someone who just loves being outdoors training for recovery, or just walking your dog on the beach, our products can help you unlock the best version of yourself. and speed up your recovery process.

Your mission is “to help everyone on earth move better, live better, and be better.” Why is this the number one goal?

Whether you’re a four-time Grand Slam champion, like Hyperice user Naomi Osaka, or new to your sport of choice, recovery and respect for your body is essential to any form of athletics. We want people to train better, recover faster, exercise more, and become the best physical version of themselves.

As a brand, you have partnered with some of the most recognized leagues, teams and federations in the world. How do you implement this brand and product service in South Africa?

We are proud to partner with some of the world’s most recognized leagues, teams and federations who are also committed to advancing the performance and wellness space. We recently partnered with the Springboks, ensuring their recovery needs are well taken care of. If you want to be the best, you have to recover with the best!

As a brand, you push the boundaries of innovation to help better serve athletes around the world. How have your products benefited these athletes in terms of recovery?

Our products are not just single-use products, they are long-term investments. Some of the world’s most powerful and iconic athletes across sports have joined and invested in Hyperice’s mission because they believe in the product and its value.

The brand has evolved so much that Rory McIlroy, Daniel Ricciardo, Connor McDavid, Klay Thompson, Jayson Tatum and more recently joined Naomi Osaka, Erling Haaland and Virat Kohli as Hyperice athlete-investors for Fuel Global. Growth.

Why is it important for people to know that your products are not just for athletes, but for anyone who is active?

Hyperice has applied its technology and know-how to industries such as fitness, esports, healthcare, massage and workplace wellness globally. We don’t just cater to professional athletes, but also anyone who could benefit from our recovery products.
