Continuing to increase the number of green spaces in the capital, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality aims to reduce its ecological footprint in 3 years with the climate-positive park project it will realize in Batıkent.
Informing the residents of the capital about the new recreation area, ABB Chairman Mansur Yavaş made the following statements in his message:
“We see Ankara as an exemplary model in the fight against global warming, and we continue to be the voice and breath of green. We will complete the West Park Recreation Area with a climate-positive theme, which we will establish over an unused area of 431,600 square meters, in 2023.”
Aiming to create an exemplary model for future generations with the park in which natural materials will be used in its design, ABB aims to create a green space of approximately 180,000 square meters; Besides 300 thousand bushes, 40 thousand square meters of grass and 80 square meters of meadows, 5 thousand 100 trees will be planted in harmony with the ecological conditions of the capital.
THE PARK WILL INCLUDE MANY AREAS FROM THE PEDAGOGICAL PATH TO THE FOOTBALL PITCH.
The active living needs of the capital’s citizens will be met through the 17-kilometre walking path, 6-kilometre cycle track and sports facilities that will be built in the Batı Park recreation area.
With its environmentally friendly design, in the park, where residents of the capital can spend a pleasant time and get plenty of oxygen;
