Together with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, another device was introduced today – the Pixel Watch, which has been rumored to be in development for several years. They received a round dial, a steel case (at least 80% of it recycled) and compact dimensions: 41 mm diagonally, 12.3 mm thick. Without the strap, they weigh only 32g.

The domed AMOLED display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Exynos 9110 chip used in the Galaxy Watch 3 is responsible for performance. To optimize battery life, we added a Cortex M33 coprocessor. It uses as much as 2 GB of RAM (for the first time among watches on Wear OS), internal memory of 32 GB.

For health tracking, standard heart rate and SpO2 sensors are provided, as well as an ECG mode (approved by the US FDA). You can swim in the watch: 5ATM water protection is declared.

The 294 mAh battery is enough for 24 battery life. Fast magnetic charging is supported: 50% in half an hour, 100% in 80 minutes.

The novelty was announced by James Park, head of Fitbit (now owned by Google). In addition to the new features, he also announced that customers will receive a six-month Fitbit Premium subscription, which provides training instructions and advanced health reports based on data from the gadget’s sensors. Also included will be the usual bonus for Pixel technology – 3 months of YouTube Premium.

In 2023, the watch will learn to detect falls and contact emergency services if the user does not answer that he is fine. For communication, either a paired smartphone or an LTE module in the watch itself will be used.

The Pixel Watch will be available in polished silver, matte black, and champagne gold. The Wi-Fi version will cost $350, while the LTE model is priced at $400. This is approximately 21,200 and 24,200 rubles, respectively. Sales will start on October 13th.
