Apple introduced Watch Ultra – the largest and most robust smartwatch in the line

As part of the first autumn presentation, Apple introduced the Watch Ultra, positioned as the strongest and most durable in the series.
The accessory received a 49-mm titanium case and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The buttons on the edges (now there are two of them) and the new Digital Crown wheel are adapted for use with gloves, including underwater.
The screen is 1.99″, the largest among all Apple watches. Its maximum brightness reaches 2000 nits so that the information remains readable even in very bright sunlight.

The watch also received a second speaker for greater volume and the ability to use a special siren – a sound signal for emergency situations, which will be heard at a distance of up to 180 meters.
Among other things: a new informative watch face designed specifically for athletes, a diving app for diving and an updated compass app. All other features and capabilities are the same as the Apple Watch Series 8.
In terms of autonomy, the manufacturer promises 36 hours of operation in normal mode and up to 60 hours in power saving mode. The Apple Watch Ultra was priced at $799. The start of sales is scheduled for September 23.
