As expected, its main feature was a new small touch OLED display with the loud name Touch Bar, which replaced the usual function keys. You can copy functions from different applications to it in any order, there is a Siri call button on the side, and in general – any developers will be able to implement Touch Bar support in their software and use the panel at their discretion.
In addition, in the new laptops, the Force Touch trackpad has been increased by 2 times, the display has been made even brighter, the energy efficiency system has been made, and the case is even thinner. We did not forget about Apple’s favorite chip – Touch ID, so you can switch between accounts and make payments on different sites absolutely safely.
In the new MacBook Pro 2016, the headphone jack was left, thank God, but the micro SD slot was removed. So stock up on external card readers, all lovers of downloading vacation photos via memory cards.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro was equipped with a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and a Radeon Pro video card in the 450/455/460 modification, 16 GB of RAM and built-in memory from 256 GB to 2 TB. MacBook Pro 13 is characterized by a more modest dual-core Intel Core i5 and Intel Iris Graphics 540 or 550. The asset also has 8 or 16 GB of RAM and from 256 GB to 1 TB.
Prices for the new MacBook Pro 2016 start at $1,799 for the 13-inch model, and $2,399 for the older 15-inch model.
